Phila Stars Coach
Phila Stars is a fall/winter invite-only team. The team is composed of elite committed and uncommitted seniors in High School. The team is coached by college coaches, Nick Taylor (Head Coach, Haverford College) and Kevin Kohut (Head Coach, Delaware Valley University) in order to best prepare the chosen players for a memorable senior season and to be successful when they get on the college campus of their dreams.
Practices will be held on Wednesday nights at the Proving Grounds in Conshohocken, PA for 8 weeks with participation in 2 November recruiting events. We will train at times with other NXT high school teams and coaches, and at times, on our own to best prepare and be successful at the fall Invitationals. We have 6 practices as well as winter NLA Committed.

Our club teams challenge and develop players who are committed to lacrosse year-round. Constant communication, individual feedback, and professionally trained coaches are infused into each NXT Lacrosse Club team.
NXTlacrosse features so many different players who have such varying backgrounds and life stories. This is the second story in a series of first-person renditions of those backgrounds and what each player thought and went through. NXT 2017 midfielder and attackman Colby Smith, an Ohio State commit who has emerged as Hempfield's next All-American, continues the series. This is his first-person account of how he had to bide his time before seeing the field for the Black Knights.
