EQUIPMENT MANAGER, EVENTS

NXT has grown over the last 10 years to a company that runs 80 lacrosse camps and clinics, 25 boys and girls club lacrosse team and 41 lacrosse tournaments and recruiting Showcases across the country.

The Position:
The Equipment Manager, Events is responsible for overseeing every aspect of the equipment process and will assist in the merchandise process. This will include; equipment inventory management, equipment packing, loading, and unloading pre-event, during the events, and post-event. Also, maintenance and repair of equipment, managing the cleanliness and organization of the storage area and building, analyzing venues to determine equipment needs and assure all equipment will be pack efficiently for event execution.

Secondary responsibilities will include; driving box truck or company vehicles to and from events. Managing setup and breakdown of events. Assisting the tournament director or operations director at events. Strong knowledge of men's college, high school, and youth lacrosse.

Expected Hours of Work:
This a temp to permanent position, which the intent to be a full-time position. The hours of work are Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm. Hours can vary on workload and event logistics. Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as required. Start date is mid-February to mid-August.
 

Duties:

  • Equipment management

  • Equipment maintenance

  • Equipment inventory

  • Handle logistics involved with transportation of equipment

  • Maintain and organize storage of equipment either in-house or in the storage facility

  • Inventory management of merchandise

  • Create and maintain an equipment inventory list

  • Efficient in Google Docs and Microsoft Excel

  • Provide on-site support for events

  • Support the Director of Events with Intern management

 

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office setting as well as at outdoor sporting events. You must be able to stand, kneel, or bend for an extended period of time. Lift up to 50 pounds. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and camera equipment. This position requires a valid driver’s license and be able to drive for long periods of time.

Required Education and Experience

  • College degree from an accredited 4-year University or College

  • 1-2 + years of sports operations experience
