JOB DESCRIPTION

NXT is seeking a certified athletic trainer interested in gaining clinical, organizational, and administrative experience in a youth sports tournament setting. The position allows for the athletic trainer to play a critical role in the planning, coordination, and execution of a medical care plan for large-scale lacrosse tournaments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creation and maintenance of emergency action plans
  •  Staffing of additional athletic trainers to work events, camps, and practices
  • Packing of medical supplies for our events
  • Leading the healthcare team at our local events (requires weekend work)
  • Management and organization of injury and treatment data

STRONG CANDIDATES SHOULD POSSESS THE FOLLOWING QUALITIES:

  • BOC certification and Pennsylvania license
  • CPR Certification
  • PA Act 153 Clearances
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s or entry-level master’s degree from an accredited college or university

TIMEFRAME
The internship will run from Monday, May 25 through Friday, July 22.
