Training to become an elite level lacrosse player in preparation for the speed of the college game can be daunting when you take it on alone. At NLA Committed, participants will build bonds with fellow committed high-level like-minded athletes, play outside of their comfort zones, and further develop their lacrosse skills taking their game up a notch. Our goal is to redefine the transition from standout high school or current college player into an athlete who is prepared for Day 1 of their team's conditioning tests by simulating the physical and mental rigors of collegiate lacrosse.
Our NLA Committed training program curriculum was built upon the experiences of all former DI coaches, who will personally help guide the athletes throughout the 5 week-long Academy.
PHASE I: 2X Week, 3 Weeks Total
July 9 & 11, July 16 & 18, July 23 & 25
Tuesdays & Thursdays | 3:00 - 5:00 PM
During Phase I, athletes must train their bodies to become physically acclimated to this high-intensity training. Without a progression, athletes often experience a higher number of injuries when going from zero to sixty; injury rates increase due to fatigue and lack the ability to recover in time for their next work out.
PHASE II: 3X Week, 2 Weeks Total
July 30 - Aug 1, Aug 6- 8
Tuesdays - Thursdays | 10 AM - 12 PM
During Phase II, athletes are now fully acclimated, and our training regimen can step up to include a higher intensity speed and conditioning component. This simulates the grind of pre-season training and helps you prepare for the soreness that will undoubtedly come with consecutive day workouts. We will be adding a speed training regiment to Phase II that will help prepare a more complete lacrosse player for her upcoming fall season.
