188 College Coaches at the 2017 Boys Philly Showcase Weekend

The Boys Philly Showcase and Invitational weekend at United Sports in Downingtown, PA hosted 188 college coaches representing 144 colleges, including several NCAA National Champions.

The Boys Philly Showcase and Invitational weekend at United Sports in Downingtown, PA hosted 188 college coaches representing 144 colleges, including several NCAA National Champions. Over the course of the weekend, 35 of the college coaches attended both days, representing 11 Division I, 7 Division II, and 17 Division III programs.

The Boys Philly and Freshman Showcase had a total of 142 college coaches and the Boys Philly and Freshman Invitational had a total of 82 college coaches on-site. Included in this list are head coaches Bill Tierney (University of Denver), John Desko (Syracuse University), Mike Murphy (University of Pennsylvania), Richie Meade (Furman University), Ryan Polley (Boston University), Jeff Tambroni (Penn State University), Mike Murphy (Colgate University), and Brian Brecht (Rutgers Unviersity).

The Showcase attracted 90 Division I, 17 Division II, and 81 Division III college coaches between the two days. Of those days, 14 Division I programs brought multiple members of their staff. There were 16 Division I head college coaches at the Boys Philly/Freshman Showcase and 11 Division I head coaches at the Boys Philly/Freshman Invitational. Inside Lacrosse Level Nine Recap and Standouts!

NXT Lacrosse hosted its annual Level Nine fall tournament on Nov. 19, with a tangible increase in intensity and high-level lacrosse on display for all in attendance. The invite-only event showcased top 2027 teams from around the country as they competed for A and B division championship titles. Kate Henwood, Executive VP of NXT Girls Lacrosse, touched on the fierce competition.

Sixes For Change x Philabundace

NXT Sixes for Change is a one-day charity sixes lacrosse tournament benefiting the Philabundance foodbank, which serves the Philadelphia and Delaware Valley. Compete for a good cause in the up-tempo sixes lacrosse format! Suggested roster sizes can range from 8-14 players. Each team will be guaranteed four games, with the top teams moving on to bracket play and a chance at the Sixes for Change Cup! Music, food, fun, games, and a festival feel are guaranteed! Clubs can reserve a spot in the event, and 100% of their deposit will go toward fighting hunger in the Philadelphia and Delaware Valley.
