2020 Baltimore Showcase Manney's Men

The Mid-Atlantic's first recruiting event of 2020 featured exceptional talent at every position. 107 athletes from 21 states were represented at the 2020 Baltimore Showcase. Over 350 college coaches tuned into the Next Level Video live-stream throughout the day to recruit some of the country’s best players. Below you will find Brett Manney's Baltimore Showcase Manney's Men selections. 

Brett Manney, captain of the New England Blackwolves and assistant captain for the USA National Indoor team, serves as the VP of Recruiting at NXT. He won a bronze medal with the USA National Indoor Team. He played on Delaware's 2007 Final Four team, captained the 2008 team, made the North-South All-Star Game, and is the driving force behind Showcase Lacrosse's nationally-known events. Manney sees players from all over the country at NXT events.

ATTACK

CHAD PALUMBO | 2022
Noble and Greenough (MA), Top Gun Fighting Clams

Even though Nolan Perkins was the MVP Palumbo got the slight nod because of his effort all day was a bit different scenario than Perkins. Palumbo who was a late add, had a few no shows on his team that day which resulted in Palumbo never leaving the field. The lefty attackman played hard all day. He had some nifty finishes, great hitch shots, and was making plays all over the field. At the end of the day, he had to be exhausted because the only thing he did not do was break down the facility!

MIDFIELD

CHRISTIAN MAZUR | 2021
Strath Haven (PA), NXT

There is one word to describe Mazur- workhorse. Mazur played defense, was his team’s best dodging midfielder, and even was taking a few face-offs. He was fluid dodging and was tough on groundballs all over the field. He probably racked up more hockey assists, and groundballs then goals and assists but his overall play as a complete midfielder is what separated him from his peers.

DEFENSE

KEEGAN SHIPE | 2021
Liberty (VA), BattleLax

The long hair defenseman was a menace during the day who wreaked havoc with his tenacious play. What I loved most about his game was his energy with teammates and enthusiasm for the game. It was evident that Shipe loves the game of lacrosse. It was great to see him score a goal, play tenacious defense, and showcase well throughout the day.

GOALIE

CARDIN STOLLER | 2022
Boys' Latin (MD), Team 91 MD

The goalie position at the showcase was stacked and it was a tough nod as I could have easily given it to 3-4 guys who played well throughout the day. The tall netminder only really struggled in the All-Star game but his effort throughout the day was extremely consistent. Shots from the outside, inside, and tracking the ball were his highlights. I would say that he gets the ball in and out of his stick in a hurry to get transition going. Goalies can be tough to read with their performances but Stoller is a stud who has a bright future ahead of him.
