2021 Baltimore Showcase Player Preview

For the first time in over a year and a half, NXT will welcome DI coaches back to our Showcase sidelines as the 2021 Baltimore Showcase kicks off tomorrow. In total, the sold-out event features 140 players from 21 states who will take the field at the state-of-the-art Chase Fieldhouse. Below are five players to keep an eye out for. 

Jake Likes (M)
2022 | Valor | Denver Elite

Standing at 6’1, 177 pounds Jake Likes is a presence in the midfield. The physical dodger demands a slide nearly every time he goes. Don’t slide? He’ll make the defense pay as he can bring it from 12+ yards. Likes has the skill set to dominate an event like this. Look for him to be in contention for a spot on the Baltimore Showcase All-Star team.

Eoin MacKay (SSDM/LSM) 
2022 | Western Reserve Academy | Evolve Elite

The athletic Eoin Mackay comes to us from Ohio and is one of the many talented players from “non-traditional” lacrosse hotbeds attending Thursday’s Baltimore Showcase. Mackay is a phenomenal cover guy. His combination of speed and stick skills makes him a threat in transition. The former Manney’s Men Honorable Mention from the 2020 Can-Am Showcase and also the younger brother of professional lacrosse player Ian MacKay hopes to make his mark this week.

Jack Isacco (D)
2022 | Cardinal Gibbons | True North Carolina

The former Nike Boys Philly Showcase All-Star and Manney’s Men Honorable Mention is back, this time at the Baltimore Showcase. Jack Isacco is not someone who you’ll find throwing ridiculous takeaway checks; instead, Isacco dominates his matchups using great footwork and phenomenal body positioning. He constantly keeps his stick in the opposition's hands making even the most routine passes difficult. He is certainly a defender to watch on Thursday.

Robert Grawemeyer (A)
2023 | Denver East | West Coast Starz, 3d Colorado, 3d National 

Righty? Lefty? It’s hard to tell with Robert Grawemeyer. The smooth attackmen from Colorado is making his mark on the recruiting circuit. His quick low to high release makes him a threat from almost anywhere above goal line extended. Look for him to bury a couple on Thursday that will leave college coaches circling his name.

Kijana Lloyd (LSM)
2023 | Parkside | Nationals

A takeaway specialist - Kijana Lloyd is a force in between the lines. He approaches opponents and attacks ground balls with a sense of physicality. Once he picks up that groundball he moves it quick or pushes transition himself. His physical presence will be hard to miss on Thursday.
