Boys Philly Showcase 2018: 2020 Player Preview

Top high school players nationwide have been selected to compete this Saturday, November 17th. Featured are 2020 players to keep an eye on throughout this one-day event

The Boys Philly Showcase attracts elite talent and college coaches from across the country to one of the top venues on the east coast, United Sports in Downingtown, PA. Last year's Boys Philly Showcase attracted over 600 athletes and 188 college coaches from the Division l, ll, and lll level.

With a 5:1 player to coach ratio, the athletes will be able to maximize their exposure to college coaches. Each team will be lead by an NCAA college coach throughout the entire day. The Showcase will feature athletes from, 2020, 2021 and 2022 graduation years.

After a competitive selection process, top high school players nationwide have been selected to compete this Saturday, November 17th, pairing with one of the largest high school recruiting events on Sunday, November 18th, the Boys Philly Invitational. Featured below are four of the top 2020 lacrosse players that Brett Manney has highlighted as player previews for this year's showcase.

Alex Bean 2020 Summer Lacrosse Highlights 2018

Alex Bean has performed well at the Boys Philly Showcase in the past. The strong defenseman out of Northern California is a great cover guy. He uses excellent footwork and you can often find him covering the top attackman. In transition, he is able to take it to the goal or dish it to an attackman on the break.

Camden Finney 2020 Goalie Highlights Summer 2018

The MVP of this past summer's MidAmerica Showcase has earned himself an invite to the Boys Philly Showcase this Saturday. His aggressive play style makes it tough to sneak one by him on the inside. Finney uses a combination of his athleticism and quick hands to eat up shots from the outside and corral rebounds. The Ohio product should have no problem keeping up this Saturday.

Trevor Douglas Highlights - Spring/Summer 2018

The powerful midfielder out of the state of Colorado is someone to keep your eyes out for come Saturday. The tall midfielder uses his body to his advantage as he is not afraid to put his shoulder down and run through someone. He has the ability to shoot from the outside as well as feed the ball.

CARSON KUHL Lacrosse and Football Highlights Summer/Fall 2017

Kuhl was the MVP of the Boys Philly Summer Showcase back in 2016. The shifty attackman out of California is an excellent dodger. He makes a living on the low wing using his speed and athleticism to beat his defender. His ability to create his own shot will certainly make him one to watch this coming Saturday.

James plays a super physical style of lacrosse. He is always looking to play body first but also uses well-timed checks when needed. He plays with good footwork and his stick is always up in the passing lane. You better be paying full attention when Pendley slides.

Sean hails from national power Saint Anthony’s High School. The rangy defender has a great combination of size and lax IQ. His brother is a Philly Summer Showcase Alum and now plays at Furman. Conk plays club ball for LI Express.
