Boys Philly Showcase 2018: 2021 Player Preview

Top high school players nationwide have been selected to compete this Saturday, November 17th. Featured are 2021 players to keep an eye on throughout this one-day event

The Boys Philly Showcase attracts elite talent and college coaches from across the country to one of the top venues on the east coast, United Sports in Downingtown, PA. Last year's Boys Philly Showcase attracted over 600 athletes and 188 college coaches from the Division l, ll, and lll levels.

With a 5:1 player to coach ratio, the athletes will be able to maximize their exposure to college coaches. Each team will be lead by an NCAA college coach throughout the entire day. The Showcase will feature athletes from 2020, 2021 and 2022 graduation years.

After a competitive selection process, top high school players nationwide have been selected to compete this Saturday, November 17th, pairing with one of the largest high school recruiting events on Sunday, November 18th, the Boys Philly Invitational. Featured below are four of the top 2021 lacrosse players that Brett Manney has highlighted as player previews for this year's showcase.

Teddy Lisa Phillips Exeter Academy '21 lacrosse 2017 Fall Highlights

TEDDY LISA
Midfield | Top Gun Fighting Clams | Phillips Exeter Academy, NH

Teddy Lisa, a former Philly Freshman Showcase Fab 40 All-Star from last year, is back for more. The Massachusetts native plays club for Fighting Clams and high school ball for the prestigious Phillips Exeter Academy. Lisa possesses a strong shot on the run. His size makes him a dangerous dodger from up top as he has no problem getting his hands free for a shot. Watch out as I'm sure he will once again be in contention for an all-star nomination.

The talented and smart attackman currently plays for Gonzaga College High School in Baltimore. His brother has played in our Showcase events previously and now plays at Dartmouth College. I'm sure there have been some good battles in the Schaffner backyard and I'm also excited to see what the next Schaffner brings to the table for this fall Showcase.

Calahan McPherson (Class of 2021 Midfield) 2017 Lacrosse Highlights

CALAHAN McPHERSON
Midfield | Leading Edge Elite | The Pingry School, NJ

McPherson is a great two-way middie, who some might say are hard to come by these days. He has great range on his shot and plays with some pop. McPherson plays his club ball for Leading Edge Elite and will suit up in the spring for The Pingry School. The New Jersey product is also another former Philly Freshman Showcase Fab 40 All-Star who will look to make the game again.

Vincent Cresci 2018 Summer Highlights

VINCENT CRESCI
LSM | Philadelphia Freedom | Kennett High School, PA

Vincent Cresci was a Manney’s Men Honorable Mention selection this past summer. He shined at both the Philly Summer Showcase and Invitational. Robbie Troyano Team 91 Blaze 2021 Summer Highlights 2017

ROBBIE TROYANO
Goalie | Team 91 Blaze | Shoreham Wading River High School, NY

Troyano brings tons of energy and emotion to the field. He is a stud in between the pipes using his athleticism and quick reaction to make stops. Once the ball is saved it is almost immediately downfield as he loves to push transition. Robbie plays for Team 91 Blaze and was a Philly Freshman Showcase All-Star last year.
