Conshohocken, PA NXT is excited to announce a partnership with Penn*Lax and Fusion Lacrosse to jointly power operations of the new East Coast Box Championships, scheduled to take place on January 16-17, 2021 at the Virginia Beach Fieldhouse in Virginia Beach, VA.

Under the arrangement, the two experienced event operators will join forces to power a larger regional event.  And in the age of COVID-19, the four-rink Virginia Beach Fieldhouse provides the space to safely hold a competition in full compliance with current safety guidelines.

“We are excited to align ourselves with Penn*Lax/Fusion and their staff,” said NXT President Peter Lawrence. “Due to the challenges of safely operating events in the current climate, we all felt this partnership provided all of us the best opportunity to hold a successful indoor event this winter and provide athletes with a needed opportunity to compete.”

“I am excited for Fusion and Penn*Lax to partner with NXTsports,” added Steve Holmes, Owner of Fusion/Penn Lax.  "This is an exciting opportunity to launch a big-time tournament at a great destination location in a new region. The Virginia beach sportsplex is one of the ultimate facilities to host a big-time box tournament in the country.  As always, USBOXLA is going to provide the best-trained referees and backend support that exists in the United States for box lacrosse.”

The East Coast Box Championships will feature travel-friendly scheduling with games starting Saturday afternoon to allow travel and concluding on Sunday of the MLK holiday weekend.  There are divisions for boys teams from third grade through high school.  NXT and Penn*Lax will have some of their top teams in attendance.  There are limited spots available for teams looking to compete against top box programs from throughout the East Coast as they battle to be crowned Best of the East!
