January 7, 2021 - Learning to Navigate COVID-19
This past year has been anything but normal. Losing your sport season and the uncertainty of your schedules can be emotionally exhausting and extremely frustrating. In this session, Mitch and Lauren discuss how to make the best of your time and develop creative ways to stay committed to your goals.
January 14, 2021 - Managing Mind Chatter
Every athlete / person experiences it. When the outcome is uncertain and you care deeply about the result, there is always that voice in your head reminding you of all of the things that could possibly go wrong - causing you to second-guess and doubt yourself. This week, Mitch and Lauren define “Mind Chatter” and offer ways to manage it so that it does not dominate us.
January 21, 2021 - Tips to Being a Great Sports Parent
We only want the best for our children. But, we sometimes get exhausted and overwhelmed because we too can feel the pressure of trying to help our son and/or daughter succeed. In this session, Mitch and Lauren discuss the optimal mindset for parents to adopt, and tips on how to effectively communicate with your lacrosse loving child.
January 28, 2021 - Managing the Injury Roller Coaster
It’s sad, but it’s true. It’s not a matter of if an injury happens, but when. Recovering from an injury can be exhausting and overwhelming; it sometimes makes it hard to feel like you can successfully return to sport. In this session, Mitch and Lauren discuss how to find the blessing within injuries, the top issues that injured athletes deal with, and 3 psychological tools to help you manage and control your recovery.
If you would like any additional information, or to be connected with Mitch or Lauren, feel free to reach out to one of your coaches or to Ian McGinnis (firstname.lastname@example.org) and we'd be happy to make the connection. Additionally, you can feel free to reach out to Mitch and Lauren directly and they’d be happy to communicate.
