Operations Manager

This role will serve two primary functions: Communications Manager and Event On-site Operator
Communications Manager
The Communication Manager supports NXT Sports communications through brand email promotions and registration emails. This role will be tasked with creating email templates, writing copy, overseeing creative for emails, and optimizing email lists. In this position, the Communication Manager will work closely with the Regional 3Step Sports Marketing Manager to meet brand standards. This employee will also collaborate with the boys and girls event sales and club/XPR departments.
The ideal candidate is well-organized, creative, and passionate about sports marketing and customer service. This person should have excellent critical thinking, communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills. Additionally, it is imperative that this individual possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Manage all NXT Sports email promotions and communications on the platform PlayerFirst.
  • Develop and oversee sale campaign timelines and align promotional emails accordingly
  • Collaborate with the regional marketing manager to create and execute brand-standard communication
  • Create promotional email templates for all events and programs. Periodically develop additional sales campaign emails to drive customer demand.
  • Create informational, “know before you go,” emails for all pre-event programs and events company-wide
  • Create informational emails for post-event programs and event company-wide
  • Responsible for maintaining informational content on company website
  • Assist with press releases for website blog
Event On-site Operator
  •  This operations team member will assist with on-site event operations.
  •  Lead event operations on-site at tournaments
  • Drive company vehicle to and from events
  • Management of staff, vendors, rental deliveries, venue logistics, etc.
  • Event set-up and breakdown
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office setting and at outdoor sporting events. Employees must be able to stand, kneel, or bend for an extended period of time and lift up to 50 pounds. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and camera equipment as well as sporting equipment such as bins, tables, water jugs, goals, signs, tents, etc. The NXT office is located in Conshohocken, Pa
Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with general hours from 9 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday. It is expected to work nights and weekends when events require it. Some travel required.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year accredited University or College or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience managing or working with a brand’s social media account.
  • Incredible attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and the ability to handle multiple different projects at once.
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent grammar.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Lightroom, Photoshop) or other video editing software.
  • Clean driving record
Preferred Experience
Minimum 1-3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong graphic design eye; ability to identify graphic design trends within the industry
  • Lacrosse background
