ATTACK
Jake Corluka| 2024
Carl Sandburg (IL), Second City
There is a reason Jake rises to the top of the attack list from the showcase. He plays hard. When he dodges to the net, make no mistake as he goes hard, and his determination and punishment he gets is often rewarded in either a goal or a great shot on net. Make no mistake, he is a righty attackman but his will to get inside and finish is what separated him. He had an array of nice finishes and goals on Saturday, but his compete level is what earned him the top spot.
Honorable Mention
Luke Barkimer, 2024, Milford (OH), Resolute
Joseph Campbell, 2024, Trinity (KY), L4
Charlie Foley, 2025, Wheaton Academy (IL), True IL
Ryan Halperin, 2024, Saint Viator (IL), Second City
MIDFIELD
Jacob Hunsinger | 2024
Walled Lake Western (MI), Eclipse
In the summer, young 2025 attackman Jack Smiley took home MVP honors from our Philly Summer Showcase, and this fall, it was an older midfielder from Dominate who cruised his way to an MVP day at the Can-Am. Hunsinger has great size for a middle who plays great between the lines. His biggest strength is his downhill dodging to get to the net. Yet what I liked most about his game was how poised he was when dodging looking for a great shot but also has the vision to see through the defense to a cutting attackman or midfielder after he draws a slide. With a solid split dodge from up top and the ability to rip the ball when he gets his hands free, Hunsinger got some serious swag for his MVP day, and it was earned.
Honorable Mention
Logan Bryant, 2025, Trinity (KY), L4
Andrew Rogers, 2024, Lowell (MI), Omnia
Maddox Johnson, 2024, Beavercreek (OH), Headlines
Connor Staheli,2024, FO, Westerville South (OH), Haymakers
DEFENSE
Luca Dicarlo | 2024
Libertyville (IL), Steelhead
If there was a menace on the field all day, it was Luca. He was a terror between the lines and was frustrating opposing players all day. I saw him break a player’s stick on one possession and on another one, throw a nasty kayak check. It is hard for defenders to stand out, but he was all over the field, causing havoc and starting transition when he did get a ball off the ground. A nice prospect who plays hard and was not afraid to showcase his array of checks and his confidence on the offensive end.
Honorable Mention
Andrew Ternent, 2023, Creighton Prep (NE), Hula
Connor Swiderski, 2023, Lakes Community (IL), The Lacrosse School
Jack Szalanski, 2024, Detroit Country Day
GOALIE
Tyler Lammers | 2024
Detroit Catholic Central (MI), Dominate Lacrosse
I don’t know if it was his chrome helmet was a magnet for shooters, but Lammers saw the ball very well on Saturday. He has great size for a goalie and is athletic in his stance. He is not afraid to throw a long outlet pass and get his offense started early. He is very steady and does not do anything out of control hence why he was always in a strong position to get a good read on shots and make routine saves all day. If he becomes more vocal and a leader between the pipes, he has a high ceiling.
Honorable Mention
Case Lowery, 2024, Avon (OH), Just Wright
Parker Knapp, 2024, Columbus Academy (OH), Haymakers
Ben Lopiccolo, 2024, Mason (OH), Headlines
