Welcome to NXT Lil’ Lax Queens, where rising PreK-3rd grade (2035-2039) girls learn to rule the game with confidence and joy! Through fun drills, team play, and exciting games, young athletes build lacrosse skills, make friends, and grow their love for the game. Whether they’re picking up a stick for the first time or already chasing goals, every queen starts here!

This is a 5 week clinic series. Each clinic runs for 1 hour at the Phelps School Field House in Malvern, PA. You receive a total of 5 clinic hours with our NXT LC staff for this programming!

What to bring:

Stick, Goggles, Mouth Guard, Water Bottle

Curriculum

Week 1 Focus | Cradling, Stick Handling, Footwork

  • Learn grip and cradling mechanics

  • How to maintain control of the ball at different speeds

Week 2 Focus | Ground Balls and Scooping Mechanics

•Learn proper ground ball mechanics and form from stationary to on the move

•Practice communication with teammates on the field

Week 3 Focus | Shooting mechanics, Accuracy, Power Foot, Aiming

•Learn power foot and following through

•Practice shooting and passing

•Learn roll dodge and stutter-step

Week 4 Focus | Defensive Footwork & Team Defense

•Learn defensive stance, “foot fire,” and quick-change agility

•Practice defensive positioning and awareness

•Practice communication and teamwork on the defensive side of the ball

Week 5 Focus | Full Skill Integration

•Combine all learned skills in fun, competitive activities

•Skill-based relays, obstacle course, and mini-games

•Reinforce teamwork and apply skills in game-like scenarios
