2022 All-American College Coach Recap

The 2022 All-American Tournament took place this June 11th and 12th to kick off the second weekend of tournament play for the summer season. Featuring a little rain, but that didn’t stop the girls from balling out and the college coaches from flooding in.

There was talent from all different states, from the Mid-Atlantic, Minnesota, Texas, Colorado, and even as far as California, and all different ages, ranging from the rising seniors (2023’s) all the way down to upcoming third graders (2031’s).

Among those on the sidelines were 64 college coaches, every division was represented from DI to DIII and even coaches from the WCLA were in attendance. Highlighting the group of Division I coaches was St. Joe’s head coach Alex Kahoe. After leading the Hawks to a historic season, making their first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance, and earning a spot on the Top 25 Poll, she took to the All-American tournament to find her next generation of record-breaking players.

Kahoe was one of many successful coaches that could be seen recruiting this past weekend. There were appearances from head and assistant coaches from ranked number 6 West Chester University and number 19 Wingate University, as well as coaches from Millersville who were also considered for ranking. In the mix were coaches from Division III ranked number 10, Ithaca, as well as Cabrini University who has won their conference the past 10 seasons in a row, and Stevenson University who was considered for ranking and made their first NCAA Tournament in program history this past season.
